    We're feeling weak at the knees at all the skills and machinery required for these masterpieces. Just to help those less competent, remember that fabulous planes like the Simprop Excel or Lift Off have flat 3mm balsa tails, lightly sanded and covered in heatshrink film. At our scale the difference between full-carbon and even a foam plane is little, especially for club flyers. 😢

    I think you need to look at retracts to clean up the wing and maybe look at the wing section and chord. Like someone has said, this is a design concept, it was never meant to be airworthy and an easy flyer as these types of planes need power on, maintain a higher airspeed at all times. If you slow them up, lean back on the stick, get a side gust, the drag moving over the overly large undercarriage will lead to one wing stalling. Put this model through a virtual wind tunnel and see how it models. I suspect it just isn’t a good flyer in its current form.

    Sonny, when you build a high performance aerodynamically 'unstable' design - EXPECT an unstable performance...it's not a Cessna. Further, you have spent too many hours flying toys with powerful engines that just 'pull' the toy all over the sky well, not in this case...you have to 'fly' the plane sonny.

    Only needs a bigger vertical stabilizer I think, looks like a high speed stall followed by a non- recoverable spin, maybe a bigger stabilising surface would prevent such an aggressive spin allowing more time to recover in case of a similar stall?

    Lots of side area on those undercarriage fairings in front of centre of gravity. Once the plane starts to yaw due to an upset from something like turbulence, the small area of vertical stabiliser can’t overcome the effect. Like trying to throw a dart backwards. Didn’t look right how it was flying sort of straight while banking with adverse yaw. Like a slight knife edge attempt.

    In my opinion it mostly was the center of gravity that was too much behind that led to the crash. Most parts of the plane are in good shape. So rebuild it and keep in mind that the geometry with its slightly negative sweep of the wings needs a center of gravity more ahead than expected. In my early days in the 199ies my first aileron-steered glider with slightly negative sweep showed similiar behaviour like your GeeBee when she crashed until I changed the CG way more ahead.

    This needs to be rebuilt everything else would be a waste. I would personally make the gear fairings smaller. It will shift center of sideways pressure rearward and make it more stable I think. Other than that just fly faster :D. Good Luck Marko!

    I say bring it back. My suggestions. The plane certainly stalled causing the crash from the video and I feel it was being flown too slow. I think a prop change to make it fly a bit faster will help a lot. Also try to cut some weight out of it.

    Please, absolutely fix it! ... We look forward to a great video! 1. Lead a little to the front 2. one Flight-phase with all deflections reduced by 50% +30% expo .... then it runs like on rails! 3. Gyro on the rudder (helps against motor-side-pull) Have fun with this wonderful model!

    Beautiful airplane! As it is specific design, used for speed racing, it needs to be piloted cautiously. I am not as good pilot to give advices to somebody else, but I would recommend you to use expos especially on elevator and maybe ailerons, too. I have much smaller Spitfire (similar conception, eliptical wing, rudder not so big and prone to stalling), and have some experience (crashes :)) with it. I would say, during flight maintain speed, at least half throttle, use more rudder and less ailerons in turns (the last turn was at 90° bank angle and without speed, if I can assess from the view taken by the drone, also moving). You could also lift both ailerons up, 2-3 mm, simulating twisting of the tips, or ad turbulators on the outer parts of the wing. I wish You good luck and many flights with the beauty in the future!

    So sorry!! Gorgeous plane. That engine sound is fantastic. But it was almost knife flying all the time. A bit of rudder would ease the turns.... Maybe a mix will help next time.

    Im sorrg that happened did your engine and prop have 3 to 4 degrees if left angle??? If not that will cause it to yaw when you hit the throttle

    Your CG need to be more forward ... Adding transparent plastic VORTEX GENERATORS on the wing tips...And 20 to 30% ''ailerons up'' at low speed and approche for landing...Always happy to follow You.

    You had a radio failure if I am not mistaking. Check if you had any interference with ignition module and your receiver. I lost my Aeromaster exactly the way you lost GeeBee.

    Thing to remember do not fly slow. it will stall & spin in the blink of an eye, if you can recover it will often spin the other way. Do not focus on recovery, focus on flying it in a suitable manner to avoid stall spins. good luck, it is a super model and should be rebuilt. Fit a Gyro Note there is a very small Rudder area, that is easily blanked in a spin. DO NOT STALL OR SPIN
